The Perfect Climate

The Perfect Climate is a Nottingham, NH-based HVAC company — David Standley owns it — covering northern Massachusetts, southern Maine and southern New Hampshire, with reviewers most often naming Dave, Josh and Austin by name for handling the actual work. It's been a BBB-accredited business with an A+ rating since September 2023, and the company says on its own site that it's licensed and insured across all three states, though that isn't something we verified against a state registry. Its history claims don't quite line up, though: the company's website says it's operated "since 1983" and describes "over 40 years" in business, while BBB's public business record lists a 2001 start date and 25 years — an 18-year gap worth asking about if longevity is part of the pitch. The work itself gets specific praise. In a 2025 review, a homeowner described a two-heat-pump installation with new ducting — Dave and a named crew (Josh, Austin, Shane) handled thermostat issues that came up mid-job and worked through the Mass Save rebate paperwork. Another 2025 review describes Austin fixing an AC air handler that a previous HVAC company had misdiagnosed and damaged in the process. Follow-through gets specific mentions too: in a 2023 review, a customer described a callback the next day just to confirm the AC was still running fine, and in a 2025 review another described switching to the company on a friend's recommendation after other providers didn't work out. All three reviews from the last six months are positive, and the broader written record — 15 reviews from 2023 to 2026 — reads the same way throughout: specific, technician-level praise for HVAC installs and repairs across the region.
