Tom's Home Renovations

Tom's Home Renovations has been running for 19 years under president Tom Clackett, according to its Better Business Bureau profile, out of a Sumner Street address in Boston. The company presents itself as a full-service general contractor for Greater Boston, taking on residential and commercial construction and remodeling. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #154996, is active. That combination — two decades in the trade and a current registration — suits a homeowner planning a project big enough to need one contractor coordinating several trades. Before you sign, ask for addresses of recent jobs near you, get the scope and payment schedule in writing, and ask for a certificate of insurance.
