Bates woodworking has skillfully and artistically completed both renovation projects and custom furniture cabinetry for my home in Chatham. These projects have included the architectural remodel of bathrooms, the installation of windows and the shingling of the homes exterior. Luther Bates is adept at taking a client's needs, personal style, and budget into consideration and interpreting them into a design that utilizes a space to it's best ability, providing function and beauty while maintaining the home's original feel. I was extremely pleased with the custom vanity we collaborated on designing and was built off site. The resulting piece was beautifully made and finished, and fit perfectly in place upon delivery. This company completes all work with attention to detail and structural integrity. Workers on site are task oriented, considerate and on time. They maintain their work space daily and keep other areas free from dust and dirt. It is always a pleasure to have them working at my home. I would recommend them highly.

We had Luther and Dan make an indoor oval window shutter for us. They came several times for measurements and gave wonderful advise for its construction. After previewing and making sure everything was to our liking, they made a wonderful product that adds to the beauty of the window. They were accommodating to our schedules and were very prompt with their service. We have hired them to do some other jobs around our house.....

Bates Woodwork deserves THE highest of recommendation. The Skilled team of Luther and Dan was ever the professional, always precise and constantly thinking outside the box on how to improve this project. They took our vision of a closet space and made it a reality better than we thought possible. As homeowners tend to do, we threw some curve-balls at them which they knocked out of the park. We will be working with them again very soon as will our family and friends.
