Emerson INC

Emerson Inc is a Hyannis-based, family-owned remodeling company on Cape Cod, run by Emerson Carvalho, who the company says began the business as a painting operation before expanding into a full-trade outfit — kitchens, baths, roofing, siding, decks, windows and doors, flooring, carpentry, and handyman work, all handled in-house. The company's own site says clients "always work directly with an owner, not just a manager." The written history here is unusually deep for a Cape Cod contractor: 38 Google reviews dated from March 2023 through August 2026, 36 of them five stars. Recent reviews, several from just the past few weeks, describe interior painting paired with a light kitchen remodel and carpentry, plumbing and electrical work completed on time, and a deck repair praised as "extremely fair" after the contractor found added rot mid-job. Reviewers across the full span consistently mention the same things: prompt, frequent communication from Emerson himself, crews that clean up well, and jobs — bathroom and kitchen remodels, flooring, tile, custom carpentry, roofing, window and door installs — finished on schedule even under weather delays or tight timelines. One reviewer specifically praised a same-day-turnaround emergency fix: after being unable to install a sliding glass door as scheduled, the crew returned the next morning and worked a ten-hour day to finish it. Two accounts stand apart from the rest. A 2023 review, still positive overall, noted the price on a side deck was "a bit high" and that some crew members didn't speak much English, though communication worked fine through a translation app. More notably, a review posted at the end of May 2026 — mid-way through a five-month kitchen, bathroom, deck and floor renovation — described responsiveness declining over time after an initially prompt start. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#206162) is active, verified against the state registry, and BBB rates the business A+. On Google, it holds a 4.9-star average from 42 ratings. For Cape Cod homeowners considering a renovation of almost any size, this is a versatile, in-house team with an exceptionally consistent track record on smaller and mid-size jobs — worth discussing communication expectations explicitly if the project you have in mind runs several months, given the one account describing that pattern slipping on a longer job.
