Hawthorne Oil Inc

Hawthorne Oil is a Salem heating-oil company with a deep and entirely positive written record — 8 reviews from 2022 to 2026, all five stars on Google, plus a January 2025 Reddit post in r/northshore describing good experiences with both routine maintenance and a large oil tank replacement. Its BBB profile lists 31 years in business, though the company's own site describes just over 20 years in the oil heating and burner service industry — the two accounts of its history don't quite line up. What comes through across the reviews is speed under pressure. One reviewer, a brand-new customer, describes an oil emergency the day before Christmas Eve where Hawthorne delivered within the hour and came back on Christmas Eve itself to fill the tank. Another describes an after-hours oil tank leak where the crew showed up after 8pm the same night and returned the next day to finish the cleanup. More routine calls — a burner service in a pinch, a quick fix on a service call — get the same responsiveness, and a customer of 10 years describes the service as consistently friendly and professional. For oil delivery, burner service, or an emergency heating call in the Salem area, this is a company with a strong, current, and unusually deep record of showing up fast, even outside business hours.
