Leeside Construction has been building on the Lower Cape out of Orleans since 1984, by its own account — custom homes, additions and renovations, with design-build handled in house. The permit trail backs the long run: 12 projects in Orleans, Harwich Port, Truro, Eastham, West Yarmouth and Falmouth between 2003 and 2024, filed under owner Gary Lee. The company's standing in the local trade goes back further still — in a January 2005 Cape Cod Times article, co-owner Jim Tobin spoke as president of the Homebuilders Association of Cape Cod about off-Cape retirees and second-home owners spending on renovations. Two things matter before you call. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #126823, is expired on the state registry. And the Better Business Bureau says it believes the business is out of business, which is why its BBB page carries a Not Rated grade. If you are weighing them for a Lower Cape addition, a roof or a custom build, start by reaching the company directly: confirm it is still taking work and that the registration has been renewed before anything is signed.
