The thing that repeats across Google and Houzz reviews isn't a slogan — it's names: designer Ciara and project manager Bill Penny turn up project after project, and a 2017 review credits owner Mark Bogosian with shaping the vision on a full teardown-and-rebuild. Across 33 reviews spanning 2016 to 2026 on Google, Houzz, and BBB, the pattern runs heavily positive — Google shows 5★ from 20 ratings, Houzz 4.7★ from 23 — and the last six months added five reviews with none negative. Recent write-ups describe home additions, a Boston condo transformation, a cape-house renovation, a loft redo that kept the exposed brick, and bathroom work with Ciara called out twice by name. The firm has also picked up real recognition lately: BRAGB's 2026 Builder of the Year, Boston Home Magazine's Best of Boston Home for high-end remodeling in both 2025 and 2026, a BRICC Gold award in 2025, and PRISM Gold and Silver honors in 2024, on top of a BBB A+ grade held since March 2014. Two Houzz reviews complicate that picture. In a 2024 review, a client described an eight-month kitchen renovation that stalled — materials not ordered on schedule, requests for a completion date ignored, tasks the homeowner says they eventually took on themselves. A separate 2024 review describes being asked for a $3,000 design fee before any construction began, layered on top of the firm's stated cost-plus-20%-margin pricing. Separately, a BBB reviewer who identifies as a neighbor, not a client, described lasting flooding they attribute to a nearby home Longfellow razed and rebuilt — that account is undated and incomplete in the record. Houzz also lists a contractor license number for the company, though it hasn't been checked against the state registry. The volume of repeat, specific praise for the design team and the multi-year award run point to a firm built for ambitious, higher-end projects — additions, full kitchens and baths, historic homes — rather than small fixes. Given the two delay-and-fee complaints, it's worth pinning down the design-fee structure and a realistic project timeline in writing before signing on.
