Five and a half days, start to finish, on a very small bathroom: that's how a September 2025 customer clocked a Nauset Kitchens job. Several other reviewers describe the same thing — workers on site every day until the job is done, rather than the stop-and-start most remodels turn into. Nauset Kitchens works out of Orleans and takes on custom kitchen and bathroom remodels across Cape Cod, with owner Adam Pearl running the design side himself. The company says Pearl and his mother founded it in 1990 and that he has been sole proprietor since she retired in 2007. The Massachusetts home improvement contractor registry carries HIC #185016 with Adam Pearl as holder of record, and the Better Business Bureau grades the company A+. The crew is small enough that customers name them. A November 2024 reviewer credited Al, Toby, Phil and Randy on a full kitchen remodel — demo, new floors, cabinets, lighting, counters — and Al and Toby show up by name again in Thumbtack reviews from 2019. Another September 2025 remodel began and finished inside the time frames stated, and a November 2025 bathroom crew showed up on time every day and finished on schedule. Cape second-home owners lean on that. A March 2024 customer renovating a 50-year-old kitchen and bath was away down South for most of the work and got progress photos and quick replies to texts; an April 2024 homeowner in Florida was kept informed by email and text messages through a bathroom tile-and-fixture job. The design work gets specific too — a December 2024 kitchen included a whole wall of pantry cabinets with a baking area set at a lower counter height because the customer is short. Google tells a different story than Angi, and it's the part to ask about. Angi's 101 ratings average 4.8 stars; Google's 8 ratings average 3.1, and three Google reviews carry substantive complaints. A July 2025 bathroom customer listed a breadboard that was promised and never happened, a heated floor that has never worked properly, new windows that weren't new, and a laundry outlet placed behind the washer and dryer where it was inaccessible. An October 2023 reviewer described poor cabinet quality, a refrigerator measured wrong and damaged along with the cabinet, work left unfinished with small appliances uninstalled, and wrong holes drilled for a drawer. A July 2022 customer who had originally given five stars for a beautiful bathroom wrote of contacting Adam many times, being told someone would come out, and seeing no one in over two years. One recent account cuts the other way: a September 2026 Angi customer wrote that the company came back almost a year later and fixed a few minor things, no questions asked. For a full kitchen or bath on the Outer Cape this is a sensible call, particularly if you want one crew on site daily and an owner who will work the layout through with you. Before you sign, get the punch list and the callback terms in writing, and pin down in the contract exactly which items are new and what happens if a heated floor or similar system doesn't work once it's in.
From beginning to end easy to work with. Adam was nice and informative answered every question. Came back almost a year later and fixed a few minor things no questions asked!! Love our new kitchen.
Nauset Kitchen and Bath renovated my small bathroom and did an excellent job. They helped me create more storage and space in my bath.
The three things I would say about Adam Pearl and Nauset Kitchens are: he listens, he communicates and he is calm. We hired Adam to redo our kitchen at our condo. From the initial meeting, Adam listened and understood exactly what I wanted to do. He came up with great ideas. This winter was brutal at the cape with the snow and the loss of electricity but Adam was in constant communication with us. The project came in right on time and we couldn't be happier. The workers were professional and cleaned up after themselves. Even when we had a glitch with a dishwasher delivery (my fault), Adam was always calm and worked with us. You can tell he enjoys his work and is proud of every remodel no matter how big or small. Would highly recommend!
Adam and his team did some significant renovations to my home on Cape Cod when I lived there.....the work ran the gamut from electrical, plumbing, painting, new cabinetry and floors, etc. The workmanship was top-notch and Adam's professionalism as a business owner and skilled contractor were second to none. Enthusiastically recommended without hesitation.
We hired Nauset Kitchens to remodel our kitchen, install wood floors in our kitchen that match the rest of the house. The Kitchen and the refinished pine wood floors are spectacular. Adam and his team, came in at a reasonable price, stayed on schedule, and the only contractor who offered to refinish all the first floor hard wood floors, along with the new kitchen floor. We can't say enough good things about Nauset Kitchens, our new kitchen and new floors. I do highly recommend Adam and team at Nauset Kitchens for any kitchen remodel. He is true to his word, on price, quality and timeliness. Thank you Adam.
