Founder Christopher West, MBA, started the company in 2018 after working under his father's general contracting business, Westside Construction, and after holding leadership roles in product strategy and facilities management around Boston. The Better Business Bureau rates it A+, though it isn't BBB-accredited. In 2023, National Grid named Royalty Construction one of the recipients of its Small Business Impact Initiative grant. The company holds Minority Business Enterprise certification from the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office, active through December 2027, and says it's registered in Massachusetts and the City of Boston. Its site also states it holds a Home Improvement Contractor license and a Construction Supervisor License, though it doesn't give either license number and neither could be verified against the state registry.
