Fifteen of the sixteen people who have written about Victoria Services on Google gave it five stars — and the sixteenth, the newest of them, is the one worth reading first. From Wakefield, the company pairs two lines of work that rarely sit together: RESNET-certified HERS energy ratings and code-compliance testing for Massachusetts projects, and everyday HVAC and plumbing installation — ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, boilers, tankless water heaters. It describes itself as a local, family-owned business serving Greater Boston and Middlesex County for over 20 years, though its written customer history begins only in late 2023. What that history keeps returning to is a firm that picks up the phone. A customer writing in January 2024 said Victoria Services was one of the few companies that answered and the only one that promised a same-day water heater install — and then delivered it. Another, the same month, said Anderson arrived within an hour and fixed a heating fault several other technicians had failed to keep fixed. On Nextdoor, neighbors have called the team “super responsive.” The names recur across two years of reviews — Sanderson, Anderson, Sam — which usually means a small crew doing its own work. The counterweight is a detailed one-star from November 2025. That customer's air conditioning was leaking refrigerant; they described the company as accommodating at first, then difficult to schedule, and on the day itself several hours late after two updates, with a disagreement over the price they had agreed for a leak test. It is the most recent thing written about the company, and it concerns the mechanics of the service call rather than the technical work. Two things to settle before booking. The site lists five licence numbers — a general contractor CSL, HVAC, Cool Smart, plumbing and sheet metal — and none of them was checked against a state registry here, so ask for them and confirm with the state yourself. And nearly all of the written history sits on one platform, so a reference from a job like yours is worth requesting. Good call for a mini-split, heat pump or water heater replacement where speed matters, and for a Massachusetts project that needs HERS testing and code documentation. Get the arrival window in writing, and the diagnostic or leak-test price agreed, before anyone rolls out.
“Neighbors highlight the team as “super responsive,” noting they were the only HVAC company to answer after calling many in North Shore Boston.”
I had an issue with my AC last Summer, the system was leaking refrigerant and I ended up shutting it down. While accommodating at first, Victoria was difficult about scheduling me to come out and take a look at my system. They eventually got me on the calendar. When the day came, they told me they were running late. A couple hours passed and they told me they would be here soon. An hour later, they finally showed up. We had agreed upon a price for them to test my system for leaks. This would have entailed clearing the lines and the indoor coil, charging them with nitrogen, then coming back days later to see if they had leaked. The “technician”, who was actually the owner, Anderson, took a brief look at my system and told me the lineset was “fine”, without doing anything. You can’t just “proclaim” them to be fine without doing the testing. His son Sanderson (not making that up), texted me with an utterly ridiculous quote to fix my system. “Quote” might be an overstatement, it was more like “this is the price, if you are fine with it I’ll give you a quote”. What??? The price basically amounted to about $5,000 in labor for what, by industry standards should be a straightforward job of less than one day. He also suggested the blower in my system might need to be replaced. Neat trick, Anderson didn’t so much as turn the system on, if he had he would have discovered the blower works fine (and had been all heating season). He also added a new thermostat to the quote without ever looking at mine (which didn't need to be replaced) I asked them if they could come back and test the system properly. No response. I asked them some details about the pricing, no response. Like so many of these guys now, they want clients who don’t ask any questions and are willing to pay any inflated price they come up with. If you are too much trouble, they just ghost you move on to the next chump. Victoria wasted weeks of my time, weeks that I could have been using to find someone to actually do the job correctly.
An Absolutely Outstanding Experience with Victoria's Finest HVAC (The Sanderson/Anderson/Sam Family!) Firstly, from giving you a quote you see a breakdown of everything with a little profit. I cannot recommend Victoria highly enough! From start to finish, our experience was exceptional, and it's clear why they're so beloved in the community. As a family business, you truly feel the personal touch in every interaction. When you deal with this company, you're not just getting skilled technicians; you're getting genuine, friendly people. The fact that Sanderson, Anderson, and Sam are all part of the same family truly shines through in their cohesive and caring approach. They are all incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and a pleasure to have in our home. A testament to their integrity: I actually made a mistake and accidentally paid in full for our new heat pump upfront. While it was my oversight, it made absolutely no difference to their service or timeline. They treated us with the same professionalism and dedication as if we were just making a deposit, which speaks volumes about their honest and customer-focused practices. Beyond their technical expertise, their staff is the friendliest we've encountered in any service industry. What truly set them apart, however, was their thoughtfulness regarding our newborn. Without us even asking, every single member of their team, from the initial consultation to the final installation, wore masks when inside our home. This small but significant gesture demonstrated an incredible level of care and consideration for our family's well-being. If you're looking for an HVAC company that combines top-tier service, family values, and genuine care, look no further. You won't be disappointed!
For 21 years I’ve had one HVAC guy that took care of all my HVAC needs. This year my system broke yet again and I’ve decided to look for a new one (system and installer). Victoria Services Inc. Heating & Cooling came highly recommended by a friend of the family and I called them for an estimate. I didn’t know which way to go, gas, gas and electric or pure electric. Sanderson came promptly and after checking out my system and hearing my wishes, he explained pros and cons of every heat option without favoring one or the other. He came up with a complete estimate along with a plan of work to be performed and recommendations for Energy Assessment to obtain $10000 rebate from my energy supplier and complete roadmap to obtain a 0% interest loan for the remainder. All of that was supported with professional emails and documents. He also created a group message with him, me and his father, Anderson who was doing the actual installation. A day before the work was to begin, Anderson came by and rechecked everything to finalize and prepare necessary supplies, and also their delivery service delivered the new system and set it in my driveway. On the day of the beginning of the installation Sam (another brother) and Anderson and John (an employee) came in, brought all the tools and additional equipment, and started from spreading the protective paper on my basement floor not to damage or dirty my floor. That immediately showed me the professionalism and care that is fostered in Victoria Services Inc. Heating & Cooling. They removed my old system and the next day their junk removal service took it away early in the morning. They poured new professionally done base for outside unit unlike the flimsy one I had before. Anderson takes a lot of care and pride in his work. He replaced piping and tubing that was out of code, he asked me again and again of my preference on different aspects of installation. They removed my old thermostats and installed new modern WIFI capable ones and helped me with setup and coached me on how to operate them. On the last day, while Anderson was finishing up, Sanderson came again and helped me with rebate paperwork as well as provided documents for a completed install. Conclusion: I am extremely happy with the service and work provided by Victoria Services Inc. Heating & Cooling and will recommend them wholeheartedly. Thank you, Victoria Services Inc. Heating & Cooling, Anderson, Sanderson, Sam and John, you guys are real gentlemen,
Between the customer service, the excellence in the work, and communication, 5 stars feels like it should be an insult to them. By far the best HVAC and plumbing I’ve worked with since I’ve been in the industry. Will definitely be working exclusively with them. Both Sanderson and Sam are a joy to work with!
It is such a thrill to be able to come into a cool home when outside is so hot and humid. The team was very responsive and professional. They did a great job, kept everything clean and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend them.
