"When they say 'dustless' they MEAN IT" — that is a customer in a March 2026 review, describing about 1,000 square feet of old beat-up floors sanded and refinished, furniture moved out and put back, and virtually no sawdust left behind. Weles is a hardwood flooring company in Chestnut Hill; its site says three Ukrainian friends, Sasha Serdiuk, Alex Lapa and Vlad Hrynchuk, founded and run it, claims eight years in business, and describes installing, refinishing, repairing and restoring solid, engineered and vinyl floors across Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine, with its own showroom. More than one customer had the work done while they were out of the house. A February 2026 reviewer said their house was finished in a week while they were away on vacation, with no mess and the furniture put back; a March 2025 customer said 800 square feet were done inside the six days they were out of town, including several repaired boards and a lip left by previous owners. In April 2025, John and Lizardo pulled four layers of flooring out of a kitchen and matched the result to the existing hardwood — "no more thresholds", as that homeowner put it. Much of it is rescue work. Writing in August 2025, a customer said they didn't recognize the surface under their carpet as hardwood and thought it was past saving until Alex told them otherwise. In a June 2024 review, another had pulled up 40-year-old wall-to-wall carpet over boards with severe pet stains they expected to lose. Color choice gets its own attention: a March 2026 customer was shown stain samples directly on their own floors, and a May 2026 homeowner refinishing after water damage said the insurance company accepted the estimate. One account stands apart, and it is worth reading closely. A 1-star review in June 2024 alleges a breach of contract — that the agreed BONA material and process were not used — points readers to photographs, and disputes the company's account of an Appeals Court decision. Whatever the truth of that dispute, write the finish product and the process you are paying for into the contract. On the lighter end, a September 2025 customer said a few imperfections showed up when the job was first finished and that Sasha came back several times until each one was fixed. For old wood that needs saving — pet-stained, painted, gouged, or hidden under carpet — and for refinishing while a house sits empty, Weles is a natural call; the Better Business Bureau has accredited the company since 10/19/2023 and grades it A+. Settle the finish product, the schedule and how touch-ups are handled before the sanders arrive.
