A D Construction LLC

A D Construction is a family-owned Boston design-build general contractor that Alex Tsalagas founded in the South End in 1988, taking on residential and commercial remodeling, additions, and new construction across neighborhoods including Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Dorchester, Cambridge, Brookline, and Newton. The written reviews on file are few but specific. One 2025 review describes a full home renovation completed when a family moved into their new Boston house, crediting Alex and David for finding cost-effective solutions and leaving nothing undone. A 2023 review describes a tighter timeline: closing on a condo with only a week to get it ready, with the crew working day and night to make the move-in date. A separate account from an interior designer describes bringing the company onto a client project and being pleased with the collaboration. The reputation built around that work is substantial. The company holds an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, an A+, BBB-accredited rating with 38 years in business, and a 5.0-star Houzz rating from 17 reviews with a verified-license badge. Houzz also lists a run of awards spanning 2013 through 2021 — Boston's Best General Contractor multiple years running, five Best of Houzz wins, a BBB Award of Excellence, and Azek Certified Contractor status. Nothing negative shows up anywhere in what's on file. For a renovation, addition, or new-construction project in Boston's core neighborhoods, this is a long-running, family-run firm with a strong reputation built over decades — the direct written reviews here are limited in number, but consistent with everything else about the company.
