Blue Anchor Millwork is a shop, not a crew. Its own description is a manufacturer's: straight and curved moldings, doors, windows, turnings and stair parts, milled to order for restoration, remodeling and new construction. You bring it a profile or a drawing and it makes the wood; installing it is someone else's job. That makes it a supplier to builders, architects and homeowners running their own project rather than a contractor you hire to work on your house. It has been a member of the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce. What little is written about it splits hard. A June 2025 customer said the milling for their project came out well and praised the staff. A September 2024 reviewer wrote only about the phone manner, calling the customer service rude. Two comments and a 3.7 average across three ratings is not enough to call it either way. If you need custom or historic profiles matched — the kind of work an older Marblehead house needs — call the shop and ask about lead times and minimums. Then line up a carpenter to fit what they make.
