That is the job this Marstons Mills company keeps getting hired for: working out what is actually wrong with a heat pump, a mini-split or a duct run, and fixing that. Cape Heating AC & Electric covers Cape Cod and the near South Shore — Barnstable, Bourne, Brewster, Falmouth, Hyannis, Sandwich, Plymouth — and says it has been installing heat pumps here since 2016, locally owned and operated by its own technicians. Its BBB page, filed under the older name Cape Cod Heat Pumps LLC, carries an A+ without accreditation and lists 14 employees. The written history is recent and heavily positive: 23 reviews running 2023 through 2026, most of them in the past six months, behind a Google page at 5 stars from 410 ratings. Two things repeat. Speed — one homeowner called late on a Thursday and had Zack and Tyler at the door by 1 p.m. Friday, with a text when they were en route. And restraint — the June 2026 customer whose zone board and dampers had failed described a step-by-step approach taken to save money, with wiring relabeled and a filter replaced on the way out. Another hired them in May 2026 to inspect a heat-pump system a different firm had installed badly, and got a written set of options before anyone touched it. Customers name the technicians — Blake, Brett, Mike, Caleb — more often than they name the company. Not everything lands. Settle the licence question, and get the diagnostic fee and what it covers in writing up front.
